Design Process & Budget

Discovery

In Phase 1, we will start by creating custom moodboards that help define your design style and overall aesthetic for your home. We will also determine your color palette as well as selection materials (such as metals, fabric patterns, wood colors) to achieve a cohesive look in your home. This phase on average takes about 8-10 hours of design time and includes 2 to 3 revisions. Phase 1 is typically where you'll spend the most in design fees as the rest of the phases are more for procurement/sourcing items and project management (helping with vendors, installers, and coordinating with delivery companies). The budget for this phase can be less/more depending on how long it takes you to make decisions!

Procurement

In this phase, our team will help you with creating a curated list of items for furniture you want to keep and what items will need to be sourced/purchased. The end goal of this phase is to create an organized list based on room with a link to purchase items at will. We can also help you with room layouts/space planning and making sure we source furniture that fits those tricky spaces (so this is where measurements will be key!) We should have a good idea already of items you plan to purchase during Phase 1 - so it's more for keeping us organized with a shopping plan! We also can coordinated and plan showroom visits to see things in person and do “sit-tests” before you decide on what to buy.

Installation

In our final phase of the project, we can help project manage vendors or installers as well as be on-site to assist if needed for installation and deliveries. Our team can also help with claims if items are damaged (expect about 10% of your items will likely need a claim/replacement). In Phase 3 we will determine how much hand-holding you may need or if you want to handle purchasing yourself. Most of clients agree this is where a set hourly design rate is nice for flexibility, while sIll meeting your design goals!
